Canyon County deputies discover two men dead. ‘Most likely a murder-suicide’

Canyon County law enforcement said a welfare check led to the discovery of two dead men in Nampa. Deputies responded at about 9 p.m. Tuesday to a home on the 6500 block of Deer Flat Road, the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Wednesday. Inside the home, they found the bodies of Charles Joseph Taylor, 57, and Heath Taylor, 47, who were brothers. “Based on evidence gathered at the scene, authorities believe this was most likely a murder-suicide, in which one brother shot another brother before turning the weapon on himself,” the Sheriff’s Office said. Detectives are investigating the incident but said that preliminary information indicates this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat.
