Charlotte will host the Women’s Tennis Association Finals for three years beginning in 2027, while also becoming the home of the WTA’s global headquarters, according to an announcement from Gov. The state is providing a $14.4 million grant through North Carolina’s Major Events, Games and Attractions Fund to help bring the event to Charlotte. The 2027 WTA Finals are scheduled for Nov. 10-14 at Spectrum Center and will feature the top eight singles players and top eight doubles teams in the world. The tournament is expected to draw about 80,000 spectators to Charlotte.
