CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was critically injured in a shooting in the West Chesterfield neighborhood Friday morning, Chicago police said. The shooting took place at about 12 a.m. in the 8800-block of South State Street. Police said the victim was in his car when he was shot in the chest, forearm and eye. He was able to flee the scene and call for help, police said. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
