Child, 2, killed in Frankfort home on Brook Stone Court; mother hospitalized from self-harm, police say

Child's death deemed domestic homicide, officials say FRANKFORT, Ill. (WLS) -- A 2-year-old child died in a domestic homicide in Frankfort, and the child's mother was hospitalized after hurting herself Tuesday, police said. Frankfort police said they responded at about 4:04 p.m. Tuesday for an unresponsive child found in a home in the 22700-block of Brook Stone Court. Officers arrived and performed CPR on the 2-year-old child, who was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, police said. Police said the child's mother was found attempting to hurt herself and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
