A man is facing felony charges after a child has died in northern Alamance County. Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here According to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called on September 5 around 5 p.m. to the 6700 block of David Moore Road on the outskirts of Elon. It was there that investigators said they saw an incident involving a golf cart that seriously injured a child. Deputies said the investigation led to the arrest of James Ronald Stallings, Jr., 44, of Burlington. He is being charged with felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.
