SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — Three people were killed in a crash on State Route 113 in Solano County Friday morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, a head-on collision between a red GMC pickup truck and a gray Ram pickup on the highway north of Hay Road was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. Arriving CHP officers found the driver and a passenger of the red GMC dead at the scene. Shortly after, fire officials pronounced the Ram driver dead. According to CHP, a preliminary investigation and witness statements indicate the red GMC was overtaking other vehicles at a high rate of speed when it crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into the gray Ram.
