The state of emergency put in place following the tornado in Nassau County was lifted Friday morning. The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado in a statement Friday morning. A team from the National Weather Service is on site assessing the size of the tornado, which officials said began as a waterspout. The tornado hit the Sun and Surf Beach Club at around 7:11 p.m.
