College football player suffered brain bleed after alleged assault by teammate

TCU receiver Dozie Ezukanma reportedly suffered serious injuries after allegedly being punched in the locker room by Horned Frogs safety Jacob Fields on Aug. Ezukanma was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after it was revealed that he had a brain bleed, a concussion and other injuries, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram . The newspaper added that the affidavit states Ezukanma was looking at his phone in the locker room when Fields walked up and hit him in the forehead with a closed fist. Fields then kicked Ezukanma in the head “as hard as he could,” according to a witness. Fields, who has since been kicked off the team, was arrested Sunday for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
