The situation has been the source of plenty of speculation and headlines after the quiet suburban neighborhood was rocked by news that a young child was killed, allegedly at the hands of his 40-year-old mom, inside a home with at least three other kids. In a petition seeking to keep Walsh from being released pretrial, prosecutors said police were called to the 22700 block of Brook Stone Court in Frankfort for a report of "an injured 2-year-old child." "When officers arrived, a neighbor was performing CPR on a toddler, later identified as two-year-old Barrett Walsh, born March 26, 2024," the documents stated. Walsh was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and is now in custody "and being held for medical treatment." Walsh was found inside her home Tuesday afternoon attempting to harm herself as police said they discovered her 2-year-old child unresponsive.
