Stangl V's 94-year-old great-aunt told police that her great-nephew "went berserk, ran his dad over and stabbed her." During Stangl's initial appearance this weekend, a prosecutor argued for a $1 million bond, saying in part, "This case involves multiple weapons being used against two victims . . . both of these attacks, Judge, seem to be unprovoked." During the hearing, a defense attorney argued for a lower bond and suggested an insanity defense. "Without admitting to any of the allegations, it appears there may be a GEI defense," the attorney said.
