CT man found guilty of ambushing man, shooting him multiple times outside grandmother’s house

A New Haven man was convicted of murder in connection with the death of a man fatally shot multiple times at he sat in his car in his grandmother’s driveway in Hamden in 2022. A jury in New Haven Superior Court Friday found Aaron Dwight Moore, 38, guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and criminal use of a firearm, according to a release from the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice . In a separate proceeding, Judge Maureen M. Keegan, who presided over the jury trial, found Moore guilty of criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver and carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit, the DCJ said. Court records show that Moore and his alleged co-conspirator Eric Diaz planned and executed an ambush on 38-year-old John Williams.
