Dallas police arrest driver accused in Oak Cliff hit-and-run that critically injured bicyclist

Dallas police have made an arrest in an August hit-and-run that left a woman fighting for her life in Oak Cliff. Police say Flock cameras helped track down the driver as the victim’s family now faces a heartbreaking decision. At Methodist Dallas Medical Center, the family of Lisa Marie Martinez is preparing to say goodbye three weeks after she was critically injured while riding her bicycle through Oak Cliff. The difficult moment comes as Dallas police announce an arrest in the hit-and-run crash that left Martinez with broken legs, a broken pelvis and arm, and internal injuries. “We have to make a decision to take her off the ventilator,” Martinez’s sister, Eve Martinez Zamago, said. Zamago said her sister simply could not overcome her injuries.
