WASHINGTON (DC News Now) - D.C. police have launched a homicide investigation after a shooting broke out in Southeast overnight. Details are limited; however, an alert was issued about a shooting in the 1900 block of 18th Street, SE around 11:23 p.m. on Sept. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that officers responded to the area around 10:50 p.m., where they found a man who had been shot. Medics responded to the scene, and the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead. DC News Now contributor Larry Calhoun arrived at the scene to find crime scene tape blocking off T Street SE.
