Two men are in custody after Des Moines police pursued a stolen vehicle connected to a shooting near two Des Moines Public Schools campuses Tuesday. Police received a license plate reader alert just before 2 p.m. Wednesday identifying the vehicle near Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Carpenter Avenue. Witnesses had identified the vehicle as being involved in the shooting near Hubbell Elementary School and Roosevelt High School.
