A Des Moines woman is accused of shooting another woman in the arm Thursday afternoon after being confronted about an alleged theft, police said. Keona Campbell, 39, was taken into custody less than 40 minutes after officers responded to an apartment building in the 6300 block of Urbandale Avenue just before 4:30 p.m. Police said 911 callers reported hearing gunfire and then reported that someone had been shot. Officers found an adult woman with a gunshot wound to her arm. She was taken to a local hospital with an injury that was not believed to be life-threatening.
