Detectives search for subject who shot teen during altercation in SW Miami-Dade

Deputies are searching for a subject who shot a teen during a verbal altercation Thursday in southwest Miami-Dade, officials said. Miami-Dade Sheriff's deputies responded at around 6:23 p.m. to the area of 123rd Avenue and 203rd Street in reference to a shooting. The incident began when the victim, 16 years old, and the subject were inside a vehicle and got into a "heated verbal altercation," officials said. The victim exited the vehicle, at which point the subject shot several rounds with his firearm, striking the teen, detectives said. The shooter fled the scene and is at large.
