A man died early Sunday after police said he was hit by a car that fled the scene in Poolesville, Maryland. A release issued by the Montgomery County Police Department said the hit-and-run incident happened shortly before 2 a.m., when the 27-year-old man was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Fisher Avenue and Milford Mill Road. The driver of the vehicle left the scene after striking the man and is believed to have fled in the westbound direction on Fisher Avenue toward Elgin Road, police said.
