Driver killed after SUV slams into cement truck, bursts into flames

SAN ANTONIO - A driver was killed after an SUV slammed into the back of a cement truck and burst into flames. The accident happened just after 8 a.m. Wednesday off N Loop 1404 W near NW Military Highway on the Northwest Side. Witnesses rushed to help and tried to pull the SUV driver from the wreckage, but the vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire, but the driver could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
