DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a report of shots fired Thursday afternoon on Barbee Road near Community Baptist Church. Just before noon, officers responded to Barbee Road after receiving a report of a gunshot wound. When officers arrived, they found two victims, an adult woman and a male juvenile, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The nearby Pearsontown Elementary School was placed on secure status, but that status has since been lifted, according to information shared with ABC11.
