Edmond police investigating after teen found dead while responding to shooting call

Edmond Police Department officials said they are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was found dead while officers were responding to a shooting call at a home Police officials said they were notified of a reported shooting in the 1100 block of Lapwing Road just after 4 p.m. Inside the home, officers located the boy, who had died from his injuries. Officials said there was at least one other person present inside the home at the time of the incident, but that the circumstances that led up to the boy’s death were under investigation, according to a social media post. “This appears to be an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing. More details will be released when possible,” Edmond Police Department officials wrote in a social media post.
