EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An El Paso man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man, leaving him with serious injuries; the suspect said the man fell on the knife during the struggle. On Monday, Paul Joseph Cuellar was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault causing bodily injury to a family member. Cuellar’s girlfriend of 11 years told police he hit her during an argument over infidelity and later stabbed a man she called to help her, according to an arrest report. Investigators said the incident happened Sunday at about 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 400 block of Gladys Avenue, near Riverside High School. After the stabbing, investigators said they received two 911 calls — one from Cuellar and another from people helping the victim.
