Election forecaster makes major shift in 2026 midterms: One party has ‘slight advantage’

Sabato’s Crystal Ball, an election forecaster from the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics , announced on Tuesday that it shifted 16 House races, three Senate races and two gubernatorial races toward the Democratic Party. This forecast came after other recent analyses showed Democrats with the edge over Republicans on the generic congressional ballot.
