LAKE BENTON, M.N. (KELO) — The Elkton-Lake Benton Lady Elks volleyball team picked up a 3-1 victory over Great Plains Lutheran at home in a rare Monday night volleyball game. The Elks and Panthers went back and forth for the first eight or so points in the first set, but from there the home team turned it on opening up as big as a five point lead before going on to win set one 25-17. Set two was more of the same for the Elks as they came away with a 25-20 win to push Great Plains Lutheran to the brink of a sweep. In that third set, the Panthers scratched their way back into the game, forcing an extra point in the set as they stayed alive with a 26-24 win.
