England mainstay Adil Rashid to miss entire ODI cricket series against Sri Lanka with hand injury

CHESTER-LE-STREET, England (AP) — England legspinner Adil Rashid will miss the entire ODI cricket series against Sri Lanka because of a right hand injury. Rashid, a mainstay in England's team for more than a decade, was initially forced out of the first match of the series — at Chester-le-Street on Tuesday — with the problem. However, about an hour into the game, the England team released a statement saying Rashid would miss the other two matches as well. Rehan Ahmed, a spinning allrounder and a protege of Rashid's, was selected for the series opener in his place.
