F-M Green girls tennis blanks Auburn to remain undefeated (21 photos)

The Fayetteville-Manlius Green girls tennis team defeated Auburn, 7-0, on Wednesday to remain undefeated. F-M Green’s Julia Kim and Addison Goodwin each won their singles matches at 6-0, 6-0. In the third singles match, Sophie Johnson was victorious at 6-0, 6-1. In doubles, the Hornet duos of Leela Kaul and Lena Liu , and Evelyn Chin and Jordyn Shapiro both won 6-0, 6-0. The first doubles tandem of Sadie Toole and Lindsey Chong were triumphant at 6-1, 6-0. In fourth doubles, Tammayi Tallapragada and Alishba Rehman grabbed a win at 6-1, 6-3. The Hornets, now 9-0 on the season, have outscored opponents 61-2 in matches so far. F-M Green is led by new head coach Jon Fox, who replaced longtime coach Phillip Rudolph after 40-plus seasons at the helm . F-M is coming off a 2025 campaign where it captured the program’s third Section III Class A crown in a row. The Hornets have won more than 100 straight regular season and sectional tournament matches since the beginning of the 2023 season. The Hornets will host Syracuse West at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Auburn (4-6) welcomes Oswego to its home court on Thursday for a 5 p.m. showdown.
