Father upset at estranged wife set a fire that killed his 19-year-old daughter. Here’s his sentence
PITTSBURGH (WPXI) - A Pennsylvania father has been sentenced for setting the fire that killed his 19-year-old daughter and severely injured his estranged wife. Lakyn Shelleby, 19, died in the fire her father, 47-year-old Brian Shelleby, admitted starting last September in Castle Shannon after he became upset with his estranged wife. He was sentenced Thursday to 15 to 30 years in prison. Investigators say Brian Shelleby’s estranged wife saw him pouring gasoline throughout the home and then leaving. The home burst into flames, trapping Lakyn Shelleby, who was home from college.
