Fed’s Goolsbee Wants to See More Evidence of Cooling Inflation

Goolsbee, speaking Friday in an interview with Bloomberg News, said inflation readings this summer from the consumer price index provide optimism that some price shocks from the past year, like tariffs and higher oil costs, are working themselves through the economy.
