States can apply to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for Fire Management Assistance Grants, which cover 75% of eligible firefighting costs, with states paying the remaining 25%. According to Oregon's congressional delegation, FEMA approved grants for the Lower Dry Creek, Akawa Butte and Grasshopper fires, but denied requests for the Rowe Creek Complex and East Evans Creek Fire.
