Frito-Lay worker fatally shot in Sam’s Club chip aisle after gunfire outside, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A family is shattered after gunfire from outside a Nashville Sam’s Club pierced into the store, killing an employee who was simply doing his job. Paris Carlock, 55, of Murfreesboro, was working for Frito-Lay and stocking shelves at the Sam’s Club in South Nashville off Antioch Pike, when he was struck by a bullet early Sunday morning. Metro Nashville police say an altercation broke out at nearby LAVO Lounge just after 4 a.m. Security removed people involved in the argument from the lounge, and the dispute reportedly continued outside. Shots were heard as multiple vehicles were leaving the area, according to MNPD.
