Georgia man arrested in connection with Greg Biffle home burglary investigation; more charges possible

( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A Georgia man has been arrested and could face additional charges in connection with the investigation into the January burglary at late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle’s Mooresville home, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Terrell Williams, 44, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, was arrested July 23 in Cobb County, Georgia, and is being held without bond on a felony first-degree burglary charge. Authorities said Williams had used several aliases and had a Charlotte address on Coronet Way. He was born in New York, according to jail records. Sheriff Campbell said Tuesday that investigators connected Williams to the Biffle investigation after receiving information on him from Georgia law enforcement on July 29.

Campbell said during their investigation authorities recovered a firearm that was in Williams’ possession that had been reported stolen from a retired or former law enforcement officer who was hospitalized at the time of a separate theft about three years ago. According to court documents released in April, investigators found suspicious activity involving the family’s financial accounts within 24 hours of the crash.
