MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. — An armed and dangerous suspect is on the run after a Georgia officer was shot and killed. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Warm Springs Officer Chris Fisher died in a shooting outside a motel. Police are now searching for Jimmie Lee Steverson, who was last seen traveling in a 2026 black Chevrolet Silverado, and a Blue Alert has been issued.
