Golf cart passenger killed in Pinehurst crash

A golf cart passenger was killed in a crash involving an SUV in Pinehurst Thursday morning, according to the police department. The golf cart driver was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, and the SUV driver was also transported. Police said the crash happened at 7:51 a.m. at the intersection of Beulah Hill and Shaw Roads. Beulah Hill Road reopened at 11:30 a.m. Police have not released information about the people involved in the crash, including the passenger who died.
