GREENSBORO, N.C. — The lights were on at Page High School’s football field Thursday night, but there was no game. Instead, hundreds of candles flickered in the stands where 15-year-old Davion Fewell once played. Fewell, a sophomore on the JV football team, died last weekend after sustaining an injury during a game. On Thursday, his coaches, teammates, family and even players from rival Andrews High School gathered to remember him. The most emotional tribute of the night came from Gerardo Galvan Vasquez, one of Davion's closest friends and JV teammates. “I felt like I had to speak for my brother and represent him,” Gerardo told the crowd, his voice breaking.
