SALEM, Ore. (Gray News) – A couple in Washington state is suing Salem Health and an emergency room doctor for $10 million. Aleksandr and Nataliya Yeremeyev say staff forced them to take their baby’s remains home in their family car, instead of holding him in a morgue. Michael Yeremeyev was born with Down syndrome and other complications that caused him to be hospitalized for the first six months of his life, the lawsuit states. His first family trip away from Seattle was supposed to be at a church retreat in Oregon, but in September 2024, the 8-month-old’s breathing turned rapid.
