NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The guardian of a 2-year-old girl who was killed in a hit-and-run has been arrested, as well as the driver who allegedly hit her. According to Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal, Haisha Dominguez Marin, 2, from Venezuela, died Wednesday, September 9. North Charleston Police say that around 8:45 p.m., they responded to the area of Rivers Avenue and Eagle Drive after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. When they arrived, they found Marin dead at the scene. An investigation led officers to the suspect’s vehicle, a 2020 Toyota Tacoma.
