Gulf Coast weatherman calls it a career after 47 years
Source Scout · AL.com reports: After more than four decades on Gulf Coast television, longtime WKRG-TV meteorologist John Nodar is set to retire at the end of hurricane season. Nodar announced Wednesday in a Facebook post that he will conclude his 41-year career at Mobile’s WKRG-TV on Nov. The veteran broadcaster, whose career in television and radio spans 47 years, said he and his wife, Janet, plan to remain in Mobile after his retirement. “Funny how you put one foot in front of the other and decades go by,” Nodar wrote, reflecting on a career that made him a familiar presence in homes across the Gulf Coast.
