Gun violence erupts in Belltown overnight; 2 dead, 3 injured

The Seattle Police Department reported that two people are dead after officers responded to reports of gunshot victims across six blocks of Belltown, spanning from the 300 block of Denny Way and Clay Street to Third Avenue and Blanchard Street. Police referred to the events separately and have not confirmed or denied a connection between the incidents. According to Detective Brian Pritchard, officers responded just after midnight to reports of gunshot victims near the intersections just south of the Seattle Center.
