Authorities are investigating after a plane crashed on the outskirts of Guymon on Sunday, near the Guymon Municipal Airport. The plane reportedly went down near the Elks Addition. Guymon Fire Department officials said they weren’t sure about injuries that might have been sustained in the crash, and that the plane is too hot to investigate, currently. Officials said the crash sparked a wildfire, which has been contained, but crews continue to put out hotspots in the area. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol have taken over as the lead agency investigating the crash.
