IRVINGTON, Ky. — The man centered around a city-wide manhunt is in police custody, according to Breckinridge County Sheriff's Office. EST on Thursday, the sheriff's office posted on Facebook that Lester Perks was in custody. Perks is accused of shooting at a police officer and smashing the windows out of vehicles with a hammer. An Irvington Police officer was shot at early Thursday morning and officials say the shooter is the same man police have been searching for, for nearly 24 hours. The officer was driving his patrol vehicle near Eva Carmen, near Lon Donwell Road and North Second Street, when we was shot at, according to Breckinridge County Sheriff's Office.
