Hammond pool party shooting leaves 3 injured; deputies use Tasers to break up fight
A large pool party in the Hammond area ended with gunfire, three people wounded and a second disturbance that forced deputies to use Tasers to break up a fight, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called to Hinson Road near Old Baton Rouge Highway around 9 p.m. Saturday after receiving multiple reports of shots fired. When they arrived, deputies found a 47-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man suffering from graze wounds. A short time later, a 25-year-old man arrived at a nearby hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his leg.
