HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Transportation says airlines may be cancelling flights Sunday and Monday ahead of Hurricane Lowell. The Category 3 system is approaching the islands, and is forecast to bring tropical storm conditions across Kauai and Niihau by Monday afternoon. According to HDOT, all airports, including Līhuʻe Airport, will remain open unless unsafe conditions arise.
