'He lived a good life': Family remembers 25-year-old who died after rare heart disease diagnosis

Taj Rudolph’s family made the decision Friday to remove him from life support at University Medical Center New Orleans. Rudolph’s family and friends gathered outside the hospital Friday for a prayer service as they mourned his death and remembered his life. “I want y’all to continue to pray for us, y’all, because this is not going to be easy,” Rudolph’s mother, Chiquilla Martin, said. While hospitalized, doctors diagnosed him with Brugada syndrome, a genetic disorder that can affect the heart’s rhythm.
