PRENTISS, Miss. ( WDAM /Gray News) - A high school student and football star has been identified as the victim of a late Sunday night shooting and car accident in Mississippi. Chancellor “Chance” Daniels set foot on the Sumrall High School football field for the last time Friday night in a game against Jefferson Davis County High School. On Sunday night, law enforcement said Daniels died as a result of injuries he sustained in Jefferson Davis County. Police said around 11:30 p.m., shots were fired in or around an ATV park near State Route 42. After the shooting, Daniels got into a car with an unidentified female.
