Officers from three separate law enforcement agencies shot at a driver after a pursuit that ended along Highway 50 on Tuesday morning in Sacramento County, the California Highway Patrol said. The confrontation left the driver dead. As a result of the shooting that happened on Highway 50 near Hazel Avenue, westbound lanes were closed for several hours from Hazel to Sunrise Boulevard and reopened shortly before 9:20 a.m. CHP said its officers stopped a vehicle that had its headlights off around 11:20 p.m. Monday on Folsom Boulevard.
