Hill Country school cleared of bomb threat by feds, DPS after evacuation

A Hill Country middle school was evacuated Wednesday after a bomb threat, but federal authorities found no danger, according to police. Fredericksburg Middle School was evacuated while law enforcement searched the campus. The school was later cleared by federal officials, Fredericksburg police said. "No credible threat has been identified," the department wrote in a Facebook post at 2:17 p.m. Police did not identify the source of the threat or say when it was reported, but first announced the evacuation in a Facebook post around noon. "School operations will resume as normal," the department said.
