A 64-year-old Hilo man is in critical condition after his motorcycle rear-ended an SUV on Highway 11 in Keaʻau Thursday evening. KEAʻAU, Hawaiʻi Island (Island News) — A 64-year-old Hilo man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash Thursday evening in Keaʻau, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department. Police said the crash happened around 7:26 p.m. on Highway 11 between Macadamia Nut Road and Kipimana Street.
