BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- The husband of a Brooklyn pre-K teacher has been charged with murder days after she was found dead inside her Bay Ridge apartment Mauricio Granda, 47, was arrested Tuesday for the death of Maria Ines Granda. According to police, Maria Ines Granda, 59, failed to report to work Monday morning, prompting a wellness check at the couple's apartment on 79th Street. Police responding to the building found her face down on a sofa with trauma to her head . She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the killing may have occurred over the weekend.
