MEMPHIS, Tenn. ( WMC /Gray News) - A man is dead after police say he and an accomplice broke into a home, triggering a violent fight. Now, his accomplice faces multiple felony charges. According to an arrest affidavit, Devonta Johnson and Zarian Sanders went to an apartment in Memphis to see the mother of Johnson’s child. The pair allegedly kicked open the front door, which had been barricaded with a couch. Investigators said the two men entered a bedroom and began beating a male victim.

Sanders was later arrested and booked on charges of especially aggravated burglary, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, aggravated assault, and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
