MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A Conroe courthouse has been declared 'secured' after a fatal shooting on Friday morning, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Investigators said that just before 6 a.m. Friday, a 70-year-old suspect, awaiting sentencing in an unknown case, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound just outside the Lee Alworth Building. Officials said he was scheduled to appear in court for his sentencing this morning. The building is located in the 200 block of W.
