TOPEKA (KSNT) — Kansas Governor Laura Kelly filled out an advanced voting ballot in person at the Shawnee County Election Office Tuesday morning. Kelly cast her advanced ballot for the upcoming 2026 Primary Election on Tuesday, July 28. On the ballot are several important items tied to the governor's race and a proposed constitutional amendment for the Kansas Supreme Court. Our Kansas Capitol Bureau was at the Shawnee County Election Office on Tuesday and asked Kelly about her thoughts on these subjects. “This is the first time I voted in 22 years where my name is not on the ballot, and it's nice,” Kelly said.
